Peoples opens real estate academy
Kayla K. Peoples is bringing a new fire to the real estate industry.
The R-C area native has founded The Peoples Real Estate Academy (TPREA), the first African-American female owned academy/school in North Carolina and South Carolina.
TPREA services three states, the Carolinas and Georgia. All students who enroll at The Peoples Real Estate Academy shall be offered the same experiences due to TPREA’s commitment to being a non-discriminatory education provider.
A lawyer by profession, leader by vocation and entrepreneur by passion, Peoples said her life works involved using her voice to commission inclusive opportunities and partnerships for the community at large, with special emphasis on aspiring real estate agents who are Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
Offering commission approved instructors, insights and presentations, TPREA offers courses in pre-licensing, post-licensing, continuing education and exam preparation, positioning TPREA as one of the top real estate academies/schools in the United States.
Peoples is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) graduate of both North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and North Carolina Central University, where she has received a Bachelor of Arts, English, Master of Business Administration, and Master of History. She has also achieved a Juris Doctor, with a specialization in Real Estate and Property Law.
She has worked in education and corporate America, to include 10+ years of experience in property management for both commercial and residential properties. Peoples said she uses a blend of education, experience, creativity and influence to connect students, leaders and industry institutions with the information and essential skills needed to give an edge to success.
Her education, coupled with her skillset, has allowed her to expand her focus into other capacities, such as consulting, creative project management, motivational speaking and property management.
As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she contentedly fulfills her personal and professional passion by serving others through public service, coaching, writing, workshops and seminars. When she’s not serving her community or building her empire, Peoples can be found spending time with family, shopping, spa days, enjoying a night out and/or nurturing her love for rest and relaxation at home.
She is the daughter of Emma P. Peoples and the late Willie L. Peoples; and granddaughter of Katie V. Parker and the late Clarence Parker. She is a member of New Haven Baptist Church located in Murfreesboro North Carolina.
